Share Seeking a part-time employee to support the Catholic Religious Education program a Holloman AFB, NM. Must be able to provide at least 18-20 hours per week of work on site (including Sundays) as coordinated with the faith group chaplain or designee.

Duties include:
Recruit/train volunteer teachers via workshops and meetings as required. Train Religious Education (RE) staff on proper protocols to utilize facilities, RE policies, and resources. Report to faith group chaplain or designee concerning the attendance no later than Tuesday.

Ensure core leadership team of teachers and volunteers youth workers have submitted the appropriate security clearance and background check required in
accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Organize two volunteer training events, one in the fall and another in the spring.

Must be available to attend annual, local, and regional educational workshops as necessary and directed by the faith group chaplain when funding is available.

Develop and submit a yearly Religious Education planning calendar and keep it updated. Ensure implementation of special Adult and Sacramental Education programs.

Research and obtain Religious Education material to support the RE program and obtaining Wing Chaplain or designee approval before purchasing (specifically religious literature).

Maintain continuity, finance, & Parish Group records. Desk, computer, and basic administrative supplies are provided by the chapel.

Submit all pertinent data from special events/programs and submit to the faith group chaplain for after-action reports as required.

Attend monthly Parish Advisory Council and meet quarterly with the faith group chaplain.

Generate all publicity for the RE program: RE announcements, flyers, bulletin inserts, events guide and calendar.

Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma OR its equivalent. A Master Degree in Theology or Religious Studies is preferable but not required. The applicant must be working towards or have completed at least one of the required AMS Certification Classes for Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE) Certifications Level 1 and Level II in Catechesis.

Must be experienced in working with MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc) and social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Applicant must adhere to
computer security requirements and usage. Applicant must comply with copyright license reporting and copyright license identification procedures.

Ability to effectively manage and coordinate activities and facilitate communication between the chapel community and other base organizations.

Online Information Assurance Awareness Training is required for Government computer access and Total Force Awareness is a requirement for all on-base personnel. A Common Access Card may be issued to allow government computer, internet, and e-mail access to fulfill contracted service requirements.

Be able to read and speak English fluently, and provide positive customer service in an interfaith pluralistic environment.
