At the Charleston, SC facility, the Bosch plant has manufactured high quality automotive products for more than 40 years. With a history steeped in innovation, the plant specializes in advanced products, such as antilock braking systems, gasoline fuel injectors, and diesel fuel injectors. We pride ourselves as a non-union plant and promote a team oriented environment. The facility is equipped with state of the art automated production equipment and technology.

Test engineer will plan, setup, upgrade, develop and oversee functional and endurance equipment for testing automotive hydraulic brake modulation systems (ESP and electronic brake actuation) and sub-systems – including SW, electronic/ electrical and mechanical bench components.

•Setup and operate test equipment, test bench software (SW) and vehicle electronic control unit (ECU) and SW
•Develop closed loop vehicle simulations for endurance testing
•Evaluate simulation results with international vehicle applications and systems groups
•Evaluate and contribute to development of endurance test specifications
•Develop SW requirements and program test bench SW for endurance testing
•Assist in development and maintenance of bench electronics
•Document development work in technical reports

•Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
•Interest and ability to develop strong high-level programming skills (e.g. C or similar)
•Strong digital electronics skills
•Working knowledge of controls and interface with hydraulic and mechanical components
•Aptitude and interest to develop control systems to perform vehicle simulation
•Strong detail orientation
•Self-driven, proactive, communicative
•Ability to work in Germany for 1 – 3 months

•German language
•Interest and ability to work abroad for 1 – 3 years
