This position provides technical leadership for all plant manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, performance excellence initiatives, and maintenance activities. This position has the accountability and ownership to manage and drive the continuous improvement program and projects within the plant.
Basic Job Duties:
. Leads the Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering functions, having an understanding of process flow, standards development, tooling design, machine design & capabilities, gauging design & development, cost accounting, ergonomics, plant layout, lean flow and other related manufacturing areas.
. Must work with all levels of plant personnel to troubleshoot and debug processes, equipment and tooling problems on a daily basis and implement corrective actions to eliminate their reoccurrence.
. Manage capital appropriations and budget for the plant in order to support improved technologies that will deliver favorable results in productivity, quality, delivery, safety and ergonomic goals.
. Manage the process that identifies significant improvement opportunities to support corporate objectives.
. Manage the development of technology initiatives designed to improve the performance of maintenance operations.
. Work with property accounting at our corporate office to track and maintain all assets for the facility.
. Organizational responsibility for the development of all plant Performance Excellence / Continuous Improvement initiatives including Lean Enterprise, 5S, Six Sigma, TPM, SMED, OEE, Poka Yoke, and Kaizen.

Requirements:
. BS Degree in Engineering
. 7+ years experience in manufacturing roles with successful assignments in Engineering, manufacturing, materials or other related fields.
. Demonstrated experience with processes and tooling for stamping and lamination notching, winding, die cast, CNC machining, lathes, mills, grinding, robotics, welding, fabrication, assembly and testing of motors – considered a strong plus.
. Extensive experience and demonstrated proficiency with process integration, tooling design, equipment design, lean manufacturing, ergonomics, maintenance of facility and equipment and management of technical or professional level people.
